Scott William Coffman

On early Saturday morning of February 28, 2026, Scott William Coffman, age 56, of Mount Pleasant, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Mt. Pleasant. He was born November 28, 1969 to William H. and Beulah (Pritts) Coffman. Upon graduating from Southmoreland High School in 1988, he attended the University of Pittsburgh in Greensburg and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Management. Throughout his studies, he was involved in the work study program in the maintenance department. Scott then officially joined the maintenance department staff and during his later years was employed in the grounds department at the same campus. He dedicated 38 years of his working life to the Pitt Greensburg Campus. It was his commitment to keep the campus community beautiful and functioning. He was also a union steward. Often, Scott extended his skills in helping to keep the property of Teri Bowes and her neighbor Michelangelo Celli, along with help from Scott's retired coworker Kim White, all who would become good friends to Scott. Scott was very mechanically inclined and enjoyed the challenge of working on his cars. His favorite sport to watch was NASCAR racing. He attended the Mount Carmel Community Church in previous years. He is predeceased by his father in 2017. Scott was loved dearly and will be missed tremendously by his mother, his brother Todd, and his sister Kendra of Mount Pleasant. His father was well known for the saying, "When God closes one door, He always opens another." The door to Scott's earthy life was closed early, but an everlasting door was opened in Heaven and he was welcomed by Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. Family and friends will be received in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, INC., 406 E. Washington St., Mount Pleasant, PA on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon, the hour of funeral services with Rev.
