Scott Covey

Scott Duncan Covey, age 53, of Saugus, Massachusetts, passed away on June 29, 2023, in Boston, Massachusetts. Born on June 14, 1970, in Saugus. Scott was a beloved son, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Scott was a man of many passions and interests. He found solace and joy in spending time on his boat and cherished moments with his family, especially his son Alex and his grandson Jaxon. Scott was also a proud member of the Saugus Chapter of Demolay.

In his professional life, Scott was a gifted and talented craftsman. He built numerous beautiful homes all around New England and was the proud owner of his own construction company, Scott D. Covey Construction.

Scott will be forever remembered and cherished by his surviving family members. He is survived by his mother Olive Covey of Newfield, Maine, his beloved son Alexander Covey and his partner Catie of Tewksbury Massachusetts, his grandson Jaxon Covey, and his daughter Kylie Jeanne of Arizona. Scott is also survived by his siblings Robin Lowe and her husband Daniel of Salem, New Hampshire, Ken Covey Jr. and his partner Noreen Richard Hare of Greene, Maine, Laurie Davis and her husband Glen of Saugus, Massachusetts, and Matthew Covey of Newfield, Maine. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews, aunts, and uncles. He is preceded in death by his father Kenneth Lester Covey Sr., of Newfield Maine.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 23rd, at 1:00 p.m. at Grace Family Church, located at 1176 Main Street, Waterboro, Maine. We invite all who knew and loved Scott to join us in honoring his memory.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Scott's name to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, a cause that was close to his heart.
