Scott Frederick Eighme, 74, of Barrington, RI, passed on November 12, 2025, at Rhode Island Hospital. He was surrounded by family, including his loving wife of 50 years, Priscilla.
He was born on May 31, 1951, to Dr. Maurice E. and Eleanor Eighme. He is predeceased by his brothers; Edward (Ted) and Frank; and son Gregory Koerner. Scott is survived by his brother Greg; children; Justin Scott, and Maurice Reid; their wives, Katie and Casey; as well as two grandchildren, Madelyn and Gregory.
Scott graduated from Barrington High School, and the University of North Carolina. He enthusiastically attended and for many years helped to coordinate his high school reunions. Scott worked at Amica for the bulk of his career and took pride in his work there, spending many hours after hours on the betterment of his craft. He also volunteered for the Bristol Fire Department in his younger years and enjoyed waiting tables and chumming it up with guests at Gregg's Restaurant in East Providence in his retirement.
He was an avid reader, passionate about music, loved to cook for others at holidays, and put on ham and bean suppers at the Baptist Church in Warren. He enjoyed playing guitar, piano, singing with family and friends, and particularly with his dear friend, Dave Thomsen. For many years, he annually camped in the White Mountains of New Hampshire and vacationed in Boothbay Harbor, Maine with family. He took great pleasure in tormenting his wife and others with terrible running gags, which always got funnier over time (to him). His frequent bursts of laughter were infectious, and he always found the humor in life. He is lovingly remembered and sorely missed by his family and friends. His legacy lives on through his influence, music, recipes, jokes, and the memories, love, and stories we share of him.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM followed by a collation all at the Baptist Church in Warren.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Baptist Church in Warren are welcome.

Scott you will always be remembered as a happy, smiling guy. That is a gift. It was great working with you and bumping into you yelling funny jokes. You have left your mark, my prayers to your family.
