My condolences to the family. I was working for one of the game companies (FASA) and met Scott at my first game convention in L.A. (back in...1989?). I hadn't met a lot of industry people who loved baseball so Scott was a welcome unicorn. I always enjoyed our time together and will continue to think of him every time my White Sox play his Astros.
