Scott Hastings, age 66, of Milford, MI, passed away April 28, 2025. Scott was born on July 11, 1958, in Detroit, MI, to Robert and Katherine Hastings. He Graduated from Harrison High School in Farmington Hills in 1976. After graduating he began his career with Statewide Excavating as a heavy equipment operator. He worked for Statewide until he retired in 2009. The name "Mountain" became his nickname in high school, but he was a softy, often "a big ole teddy bear". He was a loyal friend, generous, and always willing to help others. Scott lived life to the fullest and of course on "his terms" until the last few years when health issues impacted his daily activities. Scott loved to spend time at the "hunting camp" making lots of fun memories. He definitely was most relaxed when he was in a boat fishing. He also enjoyed golfing and hunting. Scott is survived by his two children Justin Hastings and Katie Hastings, Amanda Hastings, mother of His two Granddaughters Elizabeth and Charlotte Hastings. His three siblings Pam Albright, Kevin (Laurie) Hastings, Jennifer (Steve) Candela. Aunt Barbara Sheppard and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Faith Church 4518 Silver Lake Road, Linden, MI 48451. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. A luncheon will will follow the Celebration of Life service. Arrangements with Purse Funeral Home in Adrian, MI. www.PurseFuneral Home.com
