Scott William Jackson: A Life Lived with Passion, Dedication, and Unwavering Love
Scott William Jackson, age 56, of Milford, passed away on January 1, 2026, with his wife by his side, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. He was a dedicated family man with a heart of gold.
Born with an innate drive, Scott was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1988. From his early days working part-time at Alexander RV and Domino's Pizza in Milford, it was clear that hard work was in his nature. He spent countless hours behind the wheel, first as a beloved UPS delivery driver for over 18 years, then as a school bus driver for RJK Transportation, and for the last 12 years, as a trusted fuel delivery driver for Pep-Up. Scott's dedication wasn't just about a job; it was about providing for his family and making sure they were always taken care of.
Beyond his strong work ethic, Scott's heart truly sang for classic cars. Weekends often found him at local and regional car shows, sharing stories and camaraderie with friends and family who understood his passion. His garage was his happy place where he and his wife embarked on countless projects, never quite knowing what new classic hot rod might roll in next. This love for the "hunt" of wheeling and dealing in classic cars was a joyous adventure he shared with his wife, sons, and friends.
Scott also enjoyed the thrill of a good game of Texas Hold'em and the excitement of any casino, especially those in Las Vegas, where many memorable vacations were shared with his wife. But above all, it was those memories made with friends and family that truly filled his life with happiness.
Scott's world, however, undoubtedly revolved around his four sons. His children and grandchildren were his greatest joy. There was nothing that he loved more than being greeted with excited hugs and kisses from his grandchildren. His grandchildren knew that PopPop's presence always promised the fun of sneaking snacks from the pantry, and his greatest pleasure came from simply spending time with them and creating lasting memories that will undeniably live in their hearts forever.
Scott was preceded in death by his father, William Preston Jackson; his uncle, Bo Brooks; his brother-in-law Paige Lynch; and his beloved canine companion, Oakland, who undoubtedly greeted him with a wagging tail.
He is lovingly survived by his best friend and devoted wife Amy Jackson of over 21 years; his cherished children, George Jackson, Cody Jackson (Heather), Cole Jackson (Amy), and Nick Jackson (Dallas), who will carry on his legacy. Scott was the proud PopPop to Travis, Reece, Savannah, Beau, Luke, Maren, and another grandchild on the way. He also leaves behind his sisters Crystal Lynch, Wanda Richardson (Ed), and Tanja Payton (Tommy); his grand-dog Riley; numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends whose lives he touched profoundly; and his mother, Virginia.
Scott will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to Raiders Football, his unique quirks and personal beliefs he never backed down from, and his ever-ready helping hand. His love for his wife's baked goods, especially her chocolate cake and M&M cookies fresh from the oven, were his favorites. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, his memory and the quiet meaningful moments he shared with loved ones will continue to influence and live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will be announced by his family at a later date, providing an opportunity for all who loved Scott to come together and honor his remarkable life.
