Scott Kline Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services - Niles on Dec. 12, 2025.
Scott Ray Kline, a devoted family man and cherished member of the Niles community, passed away at the age of 54 on December 7, 2025, in St. Joseph, Michigan due to heart complications. Born on August 13, 1971, in Niles, Michigan, and a graduate of Niles High School class of 1989, Scott leaves behind a legacy of love, dedication, and joyful memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.
Survived by his loving mother Marcia (Wilson) Kline, his beloved wife Sarah (Myers) Kline, and his adored children: Scott Kline Jr., David Kline, Emily Kline, Allison Kline, and Ethan O'Hara, Scott's unwavering commitment to his family was the centerpiece of his life. He was a rock to his siblings, Ellen and Barbara Kline, providing support and laughter in equal measure. He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Kline, whose memory he carried with pride and love.
Scott's affable spirit will be remembered as much as his passion for the ocean and The Cubs baseball, enthusiasms that he shared liberally with friends and family. It was often said that to know Scott was to know a man who cherished every moment spent with loved ones, whether that be cheering on his favorite team or simply enjoying the serenity of the sea.
A dedicated father, Scott would go to the ends of the earth for his children. His guiding hand and heartening smile were their perennial sources of comfort and courage. His influence on their lives ensures that his spirit will live on through their endeavors and achievements.
It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to a man whose presence was a beacon of strength and joy. Scott Ray Kline will forever be remembered by his family, the countless friends he made along the way, and every life he touched with his kindness and warmth.
Visitation for Scott will be held on Tuesday, December 16th, from 11:00am till 12:00pm, with funeral services beginning immediately at 12:00pm, at Brown Funeral Home.
Scott will be laid to rest at Silverbrook Cemetery.
Memorial donations in Scott's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
As we celebrate Scott's life, we reflect on a journey that, while too short, was lived with fervor, generosity, and an unquenchable zest for the simple pleasures of life. His was a life filled with laughter, love, and the boundless energy that he invested in everything he held dear.
