Scott Knutson, born June 20, 1971, passed away on March 23, 2026, in the emergency room from a pulmonary embolism.
Scott was born to Larry and Betty Knutson. He grew up surrounded by family and carried that love with him throughout his life. He graduated from Estelline High School in 1989 and went on to earn his bachelor’s degree in business from Augustana College.
Scott had a deep love for Jesus, which guided his life and relationships. He cherished his family and was known for his warm spirit and his ability to find joy in everyday moments. He especially loved a reason for a hearty laugh and brought that laughter to those around him.
He is survived by his father, Larry Knutson, and his siblings, Shari (Lawrence) Miller, Sonya (William) Eckel, and Steve Knutson.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Knutson, and his younger brother, Shane Knutson.
A celebration of Scott’s life was held on Saturday, March 28, 2026.
