Scott Edward Lowring, 45, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026.

Scott was born on July 13, 1980 to Steve and Marabel Lowring in Greenfield. He was a graduate of Lexington High School, Class of 1998. He married Sarah E. Sawyer on January 20, 2007.

Scott had an amazing work ethic and put emphasis on being the provider for his family. He drove a semi truck for many years for Dayton Freight and Averitt. He later drove cars for Hertz Car Rental.

He loved to fish and was an avid sports fan, Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears being his favorite teams. One of his favorite past times was attending his son Dean's baseball games.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah E. Lowring; sons, Brandon Sawyer and Dean Lowring; Daughters, Addison Sawyer and Layla Hunt; parents, Steve and Marabel Lowring; Sister, Monica (Aaron) Myers; Grandmother, Carolyn Lowring; Aunt, Cathy (Kent) Crosby, and his life long best friend, Jason Keyes.

He is proceeded in death by his beloved grandparents, Gerald "Buck" Lowring, Marshall and Isabel Gardner.

Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with funeral services immediately after on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory in Rushville, IN. Pastor Darryl Cooper will offer words of scripture and comfort.

Burial will happen at a later date privately with close family only. At Scott's request he will be buried with his grandfather in Monticello. Please light a candle and share your memory with the family at www.ToddFuneralHome.com
