Scott Christopher McAneny, 45, of Nashville, TN, was tragically and unexpectedly lost on November 27, 2025.

He came into the world in Marietta, GA in 1979 to Samuel Wright McAneny, IV and Mary Ann Patterson. Scott graduated from McGavock High School in 1998 before attending the University of Tennessee, Knoxville for one year and then Volunteer State studying Physical Therapy before Covid years.

Scott’s unexpected passing comes as a shock to his family, friends, and loved ones, who are still reeling at the loss. Prior to suffering two strokes in 2023, Scott lived a vibrant life and still had so much ahead of him.

In light of the sudden news, the family asks for privacy as they deal with this tragic situation.

Scott was preceded in death by his father, Samuel Wright McAneny, IV; grandfather, Daniel Arthur Miller, Jr; grandfather, Samuel Wright McAneny, III; grandmother, Freda Ann McAneny; and step-father, Robert Dale Patterson. Scott is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Patterson; sisters, Alison McAneny and Michelle McAneny; brothers, Shawn McAneny and Preston Patterson; grandmother, Mary Ann Miller; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at Donelson Church of Christ gymnasium on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Donelson Church of Christ, 2706 Old Lebanon Road, Nashville, TN 37214
