Born on April 3, 1970, Tammy was a lifelong resident of the city she cherished. She graduated from McGavock High School in 1988 with her high school diploma and went on to live a life marked by devotion—to her faith, her family, and her community.
Tammy was a Christian woman who accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Mt. Arat. Her spiritual journey shaped every aspect of her life. A loving and God-fearing woman, Tammy’s faith was unwavering and evident in the way she lived—always leading by example. Her heart overflowed with kindness and compassion; she carried a pure heart of gold that touched everyone around her.
Her vibrant personality made her unforgettable. Tammy had an outgoing nature and was always on the go—whether traveling to new places, attending church services, or enjoying a good movie. Her bubbly spirit and radiant smile lit up every room she entered. Those who knew her were drawn to her warmth and joy; she had a unique ability to make others feel seen and loved. Her motto in life was " I'm Living My Best Life!"
Tammy’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her beloved daughter Sherrell McCutcheon; grandchildren Ja'Torie Brooks Jr., Ja'Rell McCutcheon, Charity McCutcheon, Trinity McCutcheon, and Serenity McCutcheon; siblings Ike Wright Jr., Constance Wright, and Sterling (Chancey) Wright; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will continue to carry forward her legacy of love and strength. She also leaves behind James Wolfe, a special friend whose companionship brought joy to her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Renastine Wright and Ike Wright Sr., whose memory she honored throughout her life.
