In Loving Memory Of Scott James McLane
Scott "Mac" James McLane, Retired Army First Sergeant, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025, at the age of 55, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 22, 1969, to Cynthia Powlison and Jame J. McLane, in Spokane Washington, Scott dedicated his life to the service of his country, enlisting in the United States Army at a young age. Throughout his distinguished military career, he rose to the rank of First Sergeant, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow soldiers for his leadership, dedication, and unwavering sense of duty. His service included multiple deployments and commendations, reflecting his bravery and commitment to protecting the nation.
Upon retirement, Scott continued to exemplify the values of honor and integrity in his community. He found solace and joy in the great outdoors, often spending his days fishing in quiet rivers, exploring in the vast forests, and playing rounds of golf with both friends and family. Camping trips were a favorite activity, where he would share stories under the stars, cook over an open fire, BBQ for friends, and create lasting memories with those he cherished most. His friends were not just companions but an extension of his family, and their bonds were strengthened by shared adventures and countless laughs. Scott enjoyed the time he shared with his "Pool Family" and the community they shared. His love for nature and companionship reflected his deep appreciation for life's simple pleasures.
Scott was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Elise McLane, and a loving father to his four children that he was incredibly proud of: Taylor Tungate, Justin McLane, Damien Martinez and Justin Thomason. He was so honored to be a Grandfather to Avery and Wyatt Tungate. He is survived by his brother and sister Jeff and Annette and many aunts, uncles and cousins. His greatest joy was found in family and friend's gatherings, sharing stories of his service, and passing down the values he held dear. He will be remembered for his kindness, wisdom, sarcastic wit and the unwavering love he had for his family.
Scott's legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His service to his country and devotion to his family serve as an inspiration to all.
