Scott Molstad Obituary

Scott Alan Molstad, 59, of Elizabethtown, passed away Saturday, Jan. 31, 2026, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown.

Born in Grand Forks, North Dakota, to Mancel and Evelyn Molstad, Scott built a life defined by hard work, loyalty and a deep appreciation for the outdoors. He worked as an electrician for Charlie Prather Services, where he was known for his skill, dedication and strong work ethic.

Scott was an avid outdoorsman, who found his greatest joy in hunting and fishing. Any chance he had to be outside - surrounded by nature and doing what he loved - was time well spent in his eyes.

He was preceded in death by his father, Mancel Molstad Jr.; his mother, Evelyn Molstad; a sister, Sandra Strauss; a brother, Mark Richard Molstad; and a nephew, Shane O'Connell.

Scott is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Cheryl Molstad of Elizabethtown; his two sons, Curtis Pedrick of Elizabethtown and Shane (Kayla) Pedrick of Cromwell; his three sisters, Fern (Emil) Clark of Lakeville, Minnesota, Gail (Mark) O'Connell of Grand Forks, North Dakota, and Debra (Richard) Braaten of Fertile, Minnesota; a sister-in-law, Connie Molstad of Iowa; as well as his two cherished grandchildren, Alexis Pedrick and Lucas Pedrick; and several nieces and nephews.
