I had the pleasure (and privilege) to have worked with Scott at the IIAAO Association. What. a fine man! Chuck Lyon, Past President (1979-80)

I first met Scott when I was a State Senator and he was a newly elected state representative. Over the years, in our various public service roles we kept in touch. The thing I will always keep in my heart about Scott is his joy-and his pride in his family. Scott enjoyed life and oh, did he love to laugh! He made us laugh with his shenanigans and his commentary! Yet, make no mistake, he was a serious public servant and cared deeply about good public policy. I will miss his contagious wit and smile. Regrettably, I am out of the country for this celebration--but I know Scott will be looking down from Heaven at us all and hugging us in our sorrow . I will miss that jokester! God has blessed us in knowing him. Betty Montgomery

Scott was truly one of the good guys! It was an honor serving with him in the Ohio Senate. We were on opposite sides of the aisle. But he was incredibly gracious and always had a friendly smile!
