Scott Leslie Padgett, 70, of Moberly, peacefully passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023, at his home. 

Scott was born on May 14, 1953, in Moberly, Missouri, to Ernest and Thelma Padgett.

Scott graduated from Moberly Senior High School in 1971. He accepted a position at Associated Electric where he worked for 26 years. After retirement from Associated Electric he worked as a delivery driver for the local pharmacies. Scott was a social, active man who was deeply involved in sports. He enjoyed Cardinal games, Greyhound games, Spartan Games, buying lottery tickets, visiting with friends and family. He was a big fan of the actor, Don Knots, and collecting memorabilia. His family and friends will always remember him as a fun-loving person with a great sense of humor.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Ernest and Thelma Padgett.

His is survived by his two daughters, Leslie (Robert) Garrett, of Moberly, MO, and Jennifer Wilkerson, of Moberly, MO, brother, Curt (Debbie) Padgett, of Springfield, MO, 11 grandchildren, extended family and close friends, Brenda Spurling, Jimmy and Kellie Smothers.

A memorial service celebrating Scott’s life has been scheduled for October 9, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel, Moberly, MO, with inurnment to follow at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly, MO. The family would like to invite everyone to a reception at the Country Villa Community Building, 2251 Silva Lane, Moberly, MO, following the inurnment. If desired, donations can be sent to American Lung Association, 55 W. Wacker Drive, Suite 1150, Chicago, IL 60601, in Scott’s memory.
