Glenda Darlene Gerry was born on May 28th, 1952 in Moberly, Missouri. She was the 9th of 11 kids born to Earl Laverne and Della Mae McGee Dunkin. She grew up in Moberly, Missouri, Kansas City, Missouri, and Holliday, Missouri.
She was united in marriage to James Robert Gerry on September 1, 1979 in Callao, Missouri. They lived in Holliday, Missouri for over 30 plus years before moving to Moberly, Missouri. She later lived with her daughter in Fulton, Missouri. James preceded her in death on February 21, 2020.
Glenda was a proud member of Timber Lake Christian Church. She loved being outdoors, crafting, playing Bingo, and watching Hallmark movies. Her life revolved around her kids, grandkids, siblings, and nieces and nephews.
She worked numerous jobs over the years, Casey's in Madison, Missouri, Abel's in Paris, Missouri, Brauch Manufacturing in Paris, Missouri, and retired from Walmart in Moberly, Missouri.
She is survived by her daughters, Shelley Hartman Hazlett of Moberly, Missouri, and Amanda Gerry Barnes (Timothy) of Fulton, Missouri; three stepchildren, Jimmy Gerry (Janet), Donnie Gerry, and Amy McGee; 13 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Glenda is also survived by her brothers, Carl Dunkin, Raymond Dunkin (Beverly), Gary Dunkin (Erlene), and Joe Dunkin; one sister, Ruth Snodgrass (Delmar); and one sister-in-law, Debbie Dunkin and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl Dunkin and Della Mae McGee Dunkin McCollum, step-father, Lloyd McCollum; grandson, Josh McGee; two sons-in-law, Bobby McGee and Justin Hazlett; two sisters, Donna Hailey and Catherine Stottlemyre Todd; and her brothers, Richard Dunkin, Jerry Dunkin, and Leonard Dunkin.
Visitation will be on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at Timber Lake Christian Church, 1624 Gratz Brown Road, Moberly, MO, 65270 with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow after services at Bethel Cemetery located in Holliday, Missouri. Local arrangements are under the direction of Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel, 411 Union Avenue, Moberly, MO 65270 (660)263-7284.
