Scott Wayne Schilling, 53, of
Wishek, North Dakota, entered eternal rest on December 24, 2025. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 3, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at St. Luke Lutheran Cemetery. A livestream of Scott's service will be available on the St. Luke Wishek YouTube Page.
Scott Wayne Schilling was born on May 18, 1972, to Melvin and Sandra (Hagel) Schilling at Wishek Community Hospital. He was raised on the family farm and attended Wishek Public School, graduating in May of 1990.
In June of 1990, Scott met the love of his life, Lynnetta Ehley, at a Johnny Holm concert in Braddock, North Dakota. He followed her to Wahpeton while she attended college. He worked at Wahpeton Canvas under his longtime friend and mentor, Wayne Kemmet. In 1991, Scott returned to the family farm.
Scott and Lynnetta were united in marriage on June 19, 1993. In 1994, they took over the family milking operation from his parents and together built a life rooted in hard work, faith, and family. They raised three children-Bradley, Courtney, and Brittney. In October of 1999, they moved to a farm just outside of Wishek, where they continued milking cows until April of 2008.
In January of 2008, Scott began his own trucking company. In 2015, his son Bradley joined him in the business, and in 2018, Schilling Trucking Partnership was formed-a source of great pride for Scott.
Scott's greatest joy was spending time with his family, with whom he shared many cherished memories. His heart held a special place for his granddaughters, Mckayla and Ellie, who were a constant source of love, laughter, and joy in his life. He also enjoyed camping with his lake family and time spent with friends, especially his "brother from another mother," Wayne Kemmet, and Wayne's wife Laurie.
Scott will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife, Lynnetta (Ehley) Schilling; his children Bradley Schilling, Courtney (Ryan) Ust, and Brittney Schilling all of Wishek; his granddaughters Mckayla Schilling and Ellie Ust; his mother Sandra (Hagel) Schilling; his mother in law Lorraine Ehley; his brother Brent (Trina) Schilling; his brother-in-law Wayne (Maren) Ehley; his brother from another mother Wayne (Laurie) Kemmet; nieces and nephews Bohdey (Suzanne) Stenseth, Nicholas (Haleigh) Schilling, Jared Schilling, Nelson Schilling, Skylar (Cash) Ehley, Alexandria (Anthony) Schilling, and Aspen Ehley; great-nieces and great-nephews Bentley Ehley, Maverick Tachenko, Jaxson Schilling, Brooklyn Stenseth, and Harper Stenseth; his aunts and uncles Mabel Pfeifle, Donna Meyers, Harry Hagel, Leroy (Caroline) Hagel, and Steve Foerderer; and many cousins and friends.
