Scott’s life began on May 5, 1958 in Kingman. He was the son of Gerald and Phyllis ( Barton) Sheahan. Scott was attended school at Trinity Catholic School and Hutchison High School. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad from 1981 until his retirement in 2018. He was a member of the railroad union, enjoyed riding motorcycles when he was younger and he really enjoyed taking his grandchildren to McDonald’s and attending their sporting events. Scott was a very family oriented kind of guy. He is survived by his wife Caryl Sheahan of Herington; mother Phyllis Sheahan of Hutchison, children Nen ( Aaron) Felker of Hutchison, Brandy Harris of Hutchison, Catherine ( Edwyn) Hook of Hutchison, Chelsea Darrow of Marion, Lucas Hart of Kansas City, MO, and Rachel ( Kyle Koepke) Madrid of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren Jeremy, Isaiah, Garbriel, Talyn, Nen, Liam, Payton, Caleb, Carter, Caine, and Tate; siblings Colleen Sheahan of Hutchison, Kelly ( Teresa) Sheahan of Wichita, Kerry ( Brad) Holden of Hutchison and Tracey ( Everett) Gould of Hutchison and several nieces and nephews. Scott passed away at his home on July 15, 2024. He is preceded in death by his father and grandson Sebastain. His family will gather with friends on Wednesday July 24, 2024 from 5-7 p.m. at Yazel Megli Funeral Home, Herington. His Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday July 25, 2024 at 10:30 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Herington. He will be laid to rest in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Herington.
