Scott T. Snyder of Walden, NY passed away on August 6, 2022, at St. Luke's Hospital in Newburgh, NY. The son of Walter Snyder and Ann Alaskey, he was born on August 10, 1955 in Albany, NY. He was 66 years old. He was married to Margaret E. Hall Snyder. Scott retired as laborer for the Village of Walden. He was a past coach for the Walden Little League and Call Ripken Little League of Walden. Scott was a member of the Wallkill Fire Department, Wallkill Ambulance Corps and the Walden Baptist Church. He will be missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; wife, Margaret "Missy" at home; son, Paul "Bud" Snyder and fiancé Samantha of Walden; daughter, Jacqueline "Jackie" Fisher of Missouri, Melissa "Mel" Snyder and companion Kristi Bordas and family of Virginia; brothers, Stephen Snyder of Mass., Timothy Snyder (Susan) of Mass., Jeffrey Snyder of Mass.; sisters, Marilyn Sims of Mass., Sandra Snyder of Rhode Island, Susan Strack (Peter) of Mass; brother-in-laws, Andrew Low and David Barry of Mass.; grandchildren, Riley, Ryan, Morgan, Gabriella, Matthew, Jules, Kyle, Bentley, Kylo, James, Colleen and Jason; great grandchildren, Ann-Marie, Ella and Julian; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sons, Corey Snyder and James "JJ" Fisher Jr.; daughter, Ann Marie Snyder; sisters, Christine Low and Carol Barry.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2022 from 6-8 PM at the Gridley-Horan Funeral Home 39 Orchard St. Walden, NY 12586. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday August 10, 2022 at 11 AM at the Walden Baptist Church 28 Bank Street Walden, NY 12586. Cremation will follow privately.
