Frederick H. "Fred" Snyder III

Frederick H. "Fred" Snyder III, 68, of Downingtown, passed away on Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Pottstown Nursing and Rehab. He was the husband of Amy Middleton Snyder, sharing 42 years of marriage.

Born in Haverford, PA on October 4, 1957, he was the son of the late Frederick H. Snyder, Jr. and Evelyn (Sukanick) Snyder. Fred graduated from Penncrest High School and went on to receive his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University. He then went on to obtain his MBA from Syracuse University, and also attended Inner Source Healing Arts School.

Fred was a gourmet cook with an excellent wine palette and knowledge to pair with food. Fred was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, Lehigh football and Syracuse basketball teams. He had an eclectic taste in music, and loved pinball, even acquiring a collection of his own machines. He enjoyed vast travel experiences, which included scuba diving from the coast of many Caribbean Islands. He was a car enthusiast, and he shared many business trips with his wife, a favorite was driving around Bavaria, Germany. Fred was a regular attendee of Foundation Financial Officers Group meetings in various cities around the United States, and he loved the beaches in Ocean City, NJ, Ocean City, MD and Vero Beach, FL. Fred loved animals and especially his dogs Peppy, Bert I, Bert II and Milton.

Surviving in addition to his wife Amy is his sister Janet Weimer, wife of the late Peter, of Dayton, Ohio, and Alan Snyder, husband of Pam Binkley, of Lancaster, PA, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 11 AM at Hopewell United Methodist Church, 852 Hopewell Road, Downingtown, PA 19335. Visitation will be from 9:30 – 10:45 AM prior to the service at the church.
