Scott Trever Spillman was born on January 24, 1973, in Montrose Colorado to Ted and Denise Spillman. Scott passed away on February 21, 2026, from injuries sustained in a tragic accident while at his home in Harrisville, Utah.
Scott spent his early years living in Denver Colorado and Kanab Utah. In 1989, the family moved to Taylorsville Utah where Scott graduated from Taylorsville High School in 1991.
Scott served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the New Hampshire Manchester mission. Upon returning from his mission, he graduated from ITT Technical Institute where he developed a love for computers and electronics.
Scott married Jennifer Rowley in 1996 and together they had four children. His children were his pride and joy. On March 4, 2017, Scott married Christine Larsson who remained his loyal companion until his passing. They enjoyed traveling and spending time together.
Scott had great aptitude with electronics and became an expert in complex security systems. He worked for Alpha Security for most of his adult life where he made many friends and was well respected within the industry.
Scott was a generous person who enjoyed spending time with his family. He had a quirky personality that made people smile and kept life interesting for everyone who knew him. Scott lived life on the edge. He liked to drive fast, was not afraid to take risks, and broke quite a few bones along the way.
Scott is survived by his four children, Emily (Ajay), Brock, Chloe and Lexton, his wife Christine and her children, Adam (Jeff), Jacob, Heather (Andrew) and a grandson, Wesley, who Scott adored. He is survived by his parents, his siblings, Brian (Tara), Alissa, Matt (Mary), grandmother Charlotte Spillman, and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his grandparents Von and Shirley Walker, George Spillman, and his uncles Mike and Bobby.
A visitation will be held at the LDS chapel located at 435 West Harrisville Road in Harrisville Utah on Friday, February 27, 2026. Visitors are welcome to pay their respects from 10:30-11:00 a.m. and a private family service will be held immediately following.
