Scott "Squirrel" Richard Pfaff, of Perryville, passed away on September 13, 2025, at St. Francis Medical Center at the age of 53. He was born on February 21, 1972, in Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, to the late Alphonse and Vernelle (Olsen) Pfaff.

Scott is survived by his children, Cody Pfaff and Alexa Vernon; his brothers, Vernon (Tammie) Pfaff, Chuck (Kim) Pfaff, and Kenny (Angie) Pfaff; his stepmother, Judy (John Heckel) Pfaff; his stepchildren, Chelsea Lailer and Devon Price, his stepbrothers, Mike (Emily) Wahlers and Brian (Susan) Wahlers; and his wife, Lorena Lailer Pfaff. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other extended family and friends — including many children he considered his own.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepson, Cody Lailer.

Scott spent many years working as a landscaper and tree trimmer. He will be remembered for his eccentric spirit and as the life of the party. He enjoyed fishing, playing the harmonica, and collecting rocks, fishing poles, and coins.
