Scott Richard Stambach

Macedon - Scott Richard Stambach, born January 11, 1951, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the age of 75.
He is survived by two sons, Scott and Shawn Stambach; two brothers, Robert and Mark Maina; extended family members including Jim and Shirley Sheele and their children. Scott is also remembered by the friends he made at the Gardens Senior Living Community in Macedon.
Scott was a loving mentor and protector to his two brothers, as well as a dedicated father. His expressions of love took many forms, but his favorites included creative projects, home-cooked meals, and sharing his awe of science and astronomy. He instilled a love for nature in his two boys, as well as a desire to always do their best work. The seeds he planted throughout his life continue to blossom generations later; through his granddaughters, and through rocketry and astronomy projects enjoyed by Scott Jr's physics students.
Like most humans, Scott was not a perfect man. Childhood experiences left scars that led to his fair share of mistakes. But as his family grieves, they hold space for the whole man, both his faults and the fruits that grew out of his loving heart.
