Scott Adam Temple

Scott was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late William Temple and Anna (Wilbur) Gilliand. A veteran, Scott served as an Independent Duty Corpsman in the Submarine Force for 15 years.

In February 1999, Scott married Pamela Lowrey at First Baptist Church of Milford, OH. He was a wonderful step-father to Robert Lowrey and Philip Lowrey and loved caring for his grandchildren, Remington Lowrey and Everly Lowrey.

A member of Batavia Baptist Temple, he served as Sunday School teacher along with his wife. Scott loved working in Vacation Bible School and used his talents to create elaborate set designs. His favorite activities included fellowship with his church family and encouraging the men of his church.

Remaining to honor his memory are his wife of 26 years, Pamela Temple; his siblings and their spouses, Christine Woodman (Robert), June Lamp (Danny), William Temple Jr. (Debra), Patrick Temple (Jeannette), John Temple (Stacy), Renee Temple; his children and spouses, Brooke Firlik (Tim), Chad Temple, Robert Lowrey (Allyson), Philip Lowrey (Megan); his grandchildren, Robbie Head, Lily Head, Jonathan Firlik, Paige Firlik, Remington Lowrey, Everly Lowrey; and his great-grandchild, Henderson Head.

A celebration of life will be held at Batavia Baptist Temple, 770 S. Riverside Drive, Batavia, OH on November 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Batavia Baptist Temple VBS Fund.
