Obituary published on Legacy.com by Palmer Marler Funeral Home - Cushing on Sep. 5, 2024.
Scott Wayne Wittman, known affectionately to friends and family as Bulldawg, passed away in an unforeseen accident on September 3, 2024, at the age of 54. Born on September 29, 1969, in Visalia, California, Scott grew up to become a pillar of strength and a source of joy for everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A proud graduate of Stillwater High School, Class of 1990, Scott furthered his education at Meridian Tech, where he honed his skills and earned a certification in Carpentry. He dedicated over three decades of hard work to National Standard and was well-respected by his colleagues. In addition to his long-standing career, Scott ran TC Construction on the side, where his craftsmanship and attention to detail were evident in every project he undertook.
Scott met Kathy Gulledge in 2014 and in 2019 made her his wife, where they spent many happy years together. Since Scott never met a stranger, you never knew what kind of inappropriate joke or ornery quip would come from his mouth. He was an avid OSU Football fan and also spent 7 years as an Eagle Rider.
Scott's life was a testament to his friendly, thoughtful, and one of a kind personality. He was a man who always put his family first and cherished the time he spent with them. He is remembered with profound love by the love of his life Kathy Wittman who he spent the last 10 years with, his previous wife Shantell Leeper and their children: Luke Wittman and his wife Mina, Collin Wittman and his wife Katy, Lillian Wittman and her fiancé Josh Mendenhall, Riley Wittman and Skye Wittman; his siblings: Gayla Milner and her husband Don, Shane Wittman and his wife Sara, Kimberly Harmon and her husband Jason, and Valarie Stein and her husband Matt. His legacy continues through his 11 grandchildren, who will grow up hearing tales of their grandfather's kindness, zest for life, his amazing hugs and his beautiful smile.
Scott was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and excitement in nature. His interests included hunting, fishing, camping, and taking memorable trips to Colorado. He was an experienced noodler, a unique hobby that showcased his adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors
The words that best describe Scott-friendly, thoughtful, loving-only scratch the surface of the man he was. He had an innate ability to make those around him feel valued and heard, and his presence was a comforting one that many sought in times of need. He was a friend to many, always ready with a helping hand or a kind word.
Scott is preceded in death by his parents, Jerry and Gloria Wittman, and his sisters Lana Wittman and Cassandra Wittman.
Scott's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him.
