Born May 4, 1987, in Manhattan, NY, he was a son of Nancy Bernard, of Tobyhanna, PA and the late Frantz M. Bernard, Sr.
He graduated in 2006 from Pocono Mountain West High School and attended Universal Technical Institute.
Scotty was a mechanic at Kelly Nissan.
He was a NY Jets, NY Yankees and Brooklyn Nets fan.
Scotty was vice-president of the Ruff Ryders Life Style, Allentown Chapter.
Surviving in addition to his mother, Nancy, is his significant other, Tiffany Summersett, with whom he resided; a son, Gabriel Trayvon Bernard, at home; three brothers, Guerschom "Shawn" Bernard and his wife Kaeve, of Effort, PA, Floyd Bernard, Sr. and Frantz Bernard, Jr., both of Tobyhanna; two nephews, Floyd Bernard, Jr. and King Frederick Bernard; maternal grandmother, Adrienne Solomon, of Brooklyn, NY; Tiffany's mother and siblings, Theresa Wilson and her fiancé Tracy Ellis, Mayson, Sanyah and Samyah Wilson, all of Phillipsburg, NJ; aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Frederick Leconte, paternal grandparents, Louis Rameau Bernard and Clemence Jean Baptist Bernard, and Tiffany's sister, Tracey Summersett.
Services will be held at 11am Tuesday in Greater Shiloh Church, 403 Pastor Fred Davis Street, Easton. Visitation will be Tuesday 10-11am in the church. Arrangements are by the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., Easton. Offer online condolences at www.strunkfh.com.
Memorials may be made to the family for the benefit of Scotty's son, Gabriel Trayvon Bernard.

Scotty and I always liked to talk sports. Boy was it a week at work when it was Jets vs Bengals! Ended up giving him the nickname `Gio´ because of the player Giovani Bernard. He loved it! Scotty was a very kind person and always had me laughing. It´s a damn shame all of us were given such a short time with him in this earth.
My thoughts are with Scott´s family. I´ll miss you a ton `Gio.´

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.
I mostly got to talk to Scotty when we would be shoveling snow in the winter. We will miss his kind, friendly smile. So sorry for your loss Tiffany and Gabriel.
