Scotty Ray Hall, age 60, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at Georgetown Hospital in Washington, D.C. He was born on Monday, September 13, 1965, in Lexington, Kentucky. Scotty embraced the joys of lake life, relishing the freedom of boating under the sun, the thrill of car racing, and the satisfaction of working in his yard. He found pleasure in shooting sports, honing his skills, and cherished moments spent with family at the beach and traveling the world, creating lasting memories. Scotty had a passion for remodeling houses, transforming spaces into beautiful homes, reflecting his creative spirit. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he supported his friends whenever they needed him, embodying the true essence of friendship. A proud United States Marine Corps veteran, Scotty continued to serve his country diligently as he worked with the Department of Justice in Lexington, Kentucky, Washington D.C., and Brooklyn, New York, and the Office of Inspector General in Washington, D.C., all demonstrating unwavering dedication and commitment to his country. Scotty is preceded in death by his loving grandparents: "Papaw" Willard "Bill" Herdon Blythe and "Granny Tollroad" Wynona Clay Blythe. He is survived by his parents, James Jerry Hall and Patricia Ann Blythe Hall; his wife of 27 years, JoHanna "Jody" Giles Hall; two daughters: Hanna Clay Hall and Jenna Nicole Hall; two sons: Scotty "Scott" Ray Hall, Jr. and Tanner Dalton Hall; one sister, Melissa DeAnne Hall; and two grandchildren: Sophia Mae Hall and Owann Noland Hall. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Hearne Funeral Home, 125 West College Avenue, Stanton, Kentucky. Funeral services, officiated by Bro. Greg Webb will be held immediately following visitation at 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1:30 P.M. on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Camp Nelson National Cemetery in Nicholasville, Kentucky, with Dan Higgs, Kevin Wickline, Robbie Puckett, Bill McManus, Barry Taylor, and Dallas Rigsby serving as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Phipps, Tim Baker, Rick Price, Bill Trimble, Pat Powell, Paul Adams, Ricky Rogers, John Edwards, Jerry Kovar, Jeff Kessman, Rafael Villasmil, Charles H. Pomerat, Wes Tanner, Tomas Rodriguez, and Shannon Smith. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hearne Funeral Home of Stanton.
