With deep love and immeasurable sadness, we announce the passing of Sean Clark Hannon, age 31, of Elkton, MD, on September 1, 2025.

Sean was the beloved son of Kenneth and Katherine Hannon (Elkton, MD), and the cherished brother of Michael Hannon (Delaware City, DE) and Ian Hannon (Elkton, MD). He was a proud uncle to his brand-new niece, Guinevere Elise Hannon, and grandson of Linda Hof (Milton, FL) and Robert M. & Patricia A. Carto (née Denalsky). He was deeply loved by his aunts and uncles, Kim Hannon, Kevin Hannon, Ghislaine Hof, Monique, and Dustin Cain (Milton, FL); and his cousins Taylor Hector (née Hannon), Andrew (AJ) Hof, Easton Cain, and Aubrie Cain-along with many great-aunts, great-uncles, extended family members, and close friends.

Sean graduated from North East High School, where he excelled in STEM, soccer, and track. A gifted athlete, he competed in soccer from the time he was five years old and, as a teenager, attended a youth soccer camp in Germany-a formative experience that inspired him to improve as both a player and a competitor. On the track, he shone as a versatile runner, excelling in both sprints and distance races. His favorite event was the 400m, and his determination and talent earned him the honor of competing at the State level throughout all four years of high school.

Sean went on to attend West Virginia University, where he studied Computer Science and Engineering. He loved Morgantown and was an enthusiastic supporter of WVU athletics, especially Mountaineer football. He was also a dedicated fan of both the Baltimore Ravens and the Las Vegas Raiders.

Curious and creative, Sean built his own computer (famously powerful enough that the family joked it dimmed the neighborhood lights) and enjoyed gaming, producing podcasts, and connecting with friends across the country. He formed lasting friendships both near and far, making memories with his local circle during cookouts, football games, kayaking trips, bonfires, and more.

A devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend, Sean cherished time with his family-whether it was crab feasts, movie nights, family camping trips, or boating. Lifelong movie traditions, from Star Wars premieres to The Lord of the Rings marathons, were among the many moments his family will forever treasure.

Sean also shared a special bond with Kobi, the family dog, whom he worked with patiently and lovingly. Kobi adored him in return, often sneaking into Sean's room to curl up at his side.

Sean will be remembered most for his warmth, quiet strength, and his brilliant smile that could light up any room. He worked hard, cared deeply, and lived fully-pouring his heart into his family, his passions, and his friendships. He was deeply loved, and he will be profoundly missed.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 4:00 pm at Crouch Funeral Home, P.A., 127 South Main Street, North East, MD with visitation beginning prior to the service at 3:00 pm.
