Sean William Ryan

Sean W. Ryan, 17, of Richfield Springs, NY, passed away unexpectedly on March 5th, 2025. He was born in Sarasota, FL on November 27, 2007. Sean had a unique sense of humor in that he would make others laugh without realizing it himself. He loved riding e-bike, kayaking, and fishing with his Dad and Grandma Dawn. Sean was an avid lover of animals and stray cats became members of the family. He also treasured his Shrimp City (his multiple tanks of tropical fish). He always enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. Sean was a junior at Little Falls High School and studied small engine repair at BOCES. Sean loved to travel, especially family vacations at Atlantic Beach, NC; his aunt in San Francisco, CA; and his Grandfather in Sarasota, FL. He is survived by his Father, Christopher Ryan; Grandmother, Dawn Bernholz; Grandfather, Kelly Ryan; aunt, Samantha Bernholz; Great Grandparents, William and Marilyn Cox; Great Grandmother, Joan Ryan; great uncles, Daniel Ryan II, Patrick (Catherine) Ryan; great aunts, Linda (Jeffrey) Hallett, Karen (Roger) Phillips, and Connie Armstrong; Jennifer (Kevin) Signor; cousins, Elyse, Debbie, and Andrew Hallett; Jason (Meghan) and Nathan Bobbett; and Victoria and Luke Armstrong; Erik and Ryan Signor; Christine Stearns, Daniel III, Matthew, and Nichols Ryan; Charles (Nicole), Caleb Ryan, and Rebecca (Jacob) Gripe; Erik and Ryan Signor; and a great cousin, Jameson Bobbett; Addison Signor; Tinsley Stearns; Connor and Carter Ryan. He was a bright light to Grandma Dawn who helped raised him from the age of 3.
