Sean Parker Wetherbee, age 30, of Fitchburg, formerly of Ayer, Massachusetts, passed away on November 8, 2025.
Sean lived his life as he chose and had a tremendous impact on the people who knew him. Sean was tall, undeniably handsome, totally buff, extremely meticulous... and only a tiny bit vain. He was also a kind, funny, outgoing guy that just so happened to give the best hugs.
Sean was adored by those closest to him. He had a dynamic personality that was adaptable to all kinds of situations and circumstances. His charismatic demeanor paired with his boyish smile drew the attention and admiration of his parents, grandparents, family, loved ones, friends, acquaintances, colleagues and clients.
Little "Seanie Bear" was dotted on by his parents, Marna and Richard Wetherbee and his grandparents, Marion and Javier Oliveros. It was impossible not to indulge him; he was so freaking cute! He could have easily made it as a Baby Gap model. Unfortunately, his modeling career ended before it began, Seanie Bear was born with ADHD, intense energy, and a loud, deep, raspy outdoor voice - not exactly well suited to sit still and strike a pose. Although, he did cultivate and maintain his own unique and quite fashionable sense of style his entire life.
In effort to channel and focus his energy, his parents enrolled him in sports. Most of his childhood was spent on the field playing soccer, baseball, and football with dad coaching and mom cheering from the sidelines. Seanie Bear “did not give one care” about focusing on academics and developed a lifelong passion for football as a player, spectator, and a coach.
Sean was an athlete and fitness enthusiast. He worked hard to build a career as a personal trainer and was employed at Orchard Hills Athletic Club in Leominster. His passion for wellness and the well-being of his clients was described as "motivational and inspiring." He trained with positivity and encouragement that produced results. He showed up with an amazing attitude because he loved his job and valued the relationships he built with his coworkers as well as the club members.
While Sean was an only child, he had several lifelong friends to call brothers, Izzy, Paulo, Austin, Jon, Michael, Tony, Jonny, Jake, Eric, and Trever and many girls who were touched by his heart. He had Pam and Jose Banchs as extended family. Unbreakable bonds were created at school, on the field, at birthday parties, sleepovers, milestone events, annual vacations at Old Orchard Beach, and the occasional international trip.
Sean was a loving son and grandson, a solid friend, and an all-around great man that lived through ups and downs. His memory will live on in the voices of the people who loved him most. He had a life worth celebrating because of the kindness and grace given to him during his most challenging times.
He is survived by family; Justin and Hunter Miller, cousins & close friends, Michelle Wetherbee, his aunt and her children, Haley and Travis Ketner, who will forever remember him.
As we remember and celebrate the life of Sean Wetherbee, we encourage all who knew him to leave memories and upload photos to his memorial page. Let us honor Sean's life by sharing the moments that captured his spirit and loving nature.
In lieu of flowers, condolences, and homemade food, you are respectfully asked to take time to learn more about the stigma associated with those that live with the burdens of mental health issues and drug addiction. Sean was in recovery for 5 years prior to his passing, it would have been impossible for him to be the person he was and live the life he did without the understanding, empathy, and support from his people.
