Sedley Wesley Davis born on May 4th, 1943, in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, Jamaica, and passed away peacefully at home on December 16, 2025 in Bronx, New York.

He lived a simple and humble life guided by faith, hard work and integrity. He graduated from Manning High School in Savanna-la-Mar and later attended a technical school for dentistry. While in Jamaica, he worked as an Inspector of port.

Sedley Davis migrated to the United States through sponsorship by his sister Clare Davis and a student visa. He enrolled in a technical school for dentistry. He worked in a New York City Department of Education at Einstein Junior High School in the Bronx where he served until retirement.

Sedley and his wife Grace cared for his sister until her passing. Due to the passing of his sister he developed depression and he was very close with his sister.

Sedley started developing dementia which eventually developed into Alzheimer's. His wife Grace stopped working to care for her husband full time until his passing. His wife Grace embodied the scripture: Proverbs 18:22 "Whoso finds a wife a good thing, obtains favor in the Lord."

Preceded in death his beloved parents Iris and Joseph Davis, Brothers: Gerald Davis, Elliston Davis, Horace Davis, Sister: Ida Mae Samuel's . He leaves to mourn his wife, Grace Davis, daughter Michelle Davis, sons; Lascelle Davis, Daquan Davis. Nephews: Dean Davis, Stephon samuels and bonus children Wayne Gradine, Cheryl Russell and Brian Morris and a host of other family and friends.
