Seeran Ophelia Robinson-Schoolfield

Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 10:00a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. at Unity Temple Ministries Church of God In Christ, located at 161 N. Hamilton Road. Columbus, Ohio 43213.

Seeran Ophelia Schoolfield was born on January 21, 1940 in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Gladys Lucille Cook, and Silas Robinson. She transitioned peacefully on February 5th 2026 at the age of 86.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Gladys Lucille Cook and Silas Robinson, and loving Granddaughter Xyanna Fraley.

She leaves to cherish her memory four loving children Lon C. Weind, the twins Troy L. Weind and Troia L. Braxton, and Shareece D. Loyel; five grandchildren Adrianne (Samuel) Thomas, Carla Braxton, Ashley Braxton, Cairo Fraley, and Savarius Fraley; four great-grandchildren Cevion Braxton, Adjerai Braxton-Wilson, Roy Hogan III, and Tyrell Madison (Buster), and a host of Cousins, and her dearest best friend of 69 years Ms. Annette French.

Seeran was a graduate of Columbus East High School and graduated in 1957. She was employed and retired from the U.S. Federal Government, The Veterans Administration, and Housing and Urban Development, and Hardwick Inc.Real Estate in Columbus, Ohio. She also worked at the Suicide Prevention Hotline Center in Youngstown, Ohio.

She was a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church Chancel Choir in 1974, and enjoyed singing. She was an arts enthusiast, and also loved listening to all types of music including opera. She was happy to be a Mother and Fellowship Leader of the Unity Temple Ministries Church, Of God in Christ.

She loved fashion and wearing her many stylish hats. Seeran was an avid Ohio State Buckeye Football fan, and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star (Utopia). She was an avid reader, and loved teaching others to read.
