Selisa Lowery Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John Flynn Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. on Dec. 10, 2025.
Selisa Demean "Lisa" Lowery, 60, of Farrell, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2025. Born on October 31, 1965, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, she was the beloved daughter of the late Floyd Lowery and Dorothy Jean McClinton.
Lisa was known by all who loved her as a "true sour patch kid"-fierce and loving in equal measure. She loved deeply, cried freely, and embraced life with warmth, humor, and heart. Her journey was rich with connection, laughter, and care, especially for her family and friends.
A proud graduate with an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Lisa pursued her education with determination and purpose. She once shared her life with Melvin W. Amos I, with whom she built a family before later going their separate ways. Her proudest joys in life were her role as a mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She leaves behind a legacy of love through her children-La Toya Pinsuwan, La Rene Amos, Melvin W. Amos II, Eddie Pinsuwan, and Malykai Henderson-and her 11 cherished grandchildren: Zamir, Niyonna, Melanie, Lamir, Melvin III, Michelle, Sheldon, Aubrielle, Ozias, Araya, and Mohini. She also shared a strong, enduring bond with her nephew Orlando.
Lisa found peace and purpose in small joys-watching movies and TV series, sharing discussions and laughter with her sister, Fondtella, and nurturing her many plants. Her green thumb and warm spirit brightened the lives and homes of those around her.
A devoted member of Valley Baptist Church, Lisa found faith and comfort in her church community. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at John Flynn's Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor T. Harris.
Lisa's light, laughter, and love will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
