OBITUARY
Selma Jacobs passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening at age 97. She was married to Leslie Jacobs for 66 years until his passing in 2012. Selma was born into a large family, the third of five children. She lived in Brooklyn, Queens, New Jersey, and Florida until finally residing in Atlanta, Georgia for the last twelve years.
She was the valedictorian of her high school class, then went on to design school in Manhattan to become a dress designer of evening wear. She and Les were avid Bridge players and golfers, and together finished The NY Times Sunday crossword puzzle each week. Selma always enjoyed spending quality time with her great-grandchildren and made many new friends in Atlanta including Leon Feldman. She is survived by her children Janet Bohrer (Thomas z'l) and Elliott Jacobs (Carol), as well as her grandsons Scott (Lori) and Jeffrey (Haiying), and her great-grandchildren Jason (Talia), Jami, Mitchell, Brandon, and Sophie. Services will be held at Temple Emanu-El this Sunday April 21st at 2:30 pm. Donations in her memory may be made to Jewish National Fund.
SHIVA
Shiva will be observed at the home of Scott and Lori Bohrer on Sunday only beginning at 7:00 pm. Minyan at 7:30 pm. Address: 4070 Meadow Gate Drive, Sandy Springs, GA 30350
