Selma Almeda Wallace, 92, of Peru passed away at Blair Ridge Health Campus on Sunday, September 28, 2025.
She was born in Silver Point, Tennessee on March 26, 1933 to the late Cordell and Ruby (Williams) Carr.
Selma worked and retired as a tech from Square D. She attended Family Fellowship Church of God where she thoroughly enjoyed Bible Study. Selma loved to crochet, but she loved and cherished her friends and family more than anything.
She is survived by her children, Teresa Pratt of Tipton, Indiana, Jeffrey (Carrie) Young of Peru, Indiana, Gary Wallace, 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, brothers, Lonnie (Sherry) Carr of Greenfield, Indiana, Douglas (Janice) Carr of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and sisters, Linda (Stan) Querry of Kokomo, Indiana and Oneda (Lloyd) Pratt of Columbus, Indiana.
Selma is preceded in death by her parents, children, Eddie Wallace, Dewayne Wallace, Michael Wallace, Terry Wallace, brother, Alfred Carr, and sisters, Gelema, Bertha, and Dell.
Visitation will be held from 11am to 1pm on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at Flowers-Leedy Funeral Home, 105 West Third Street, Peru. The funeral service will follow at 1pm with Pastor Randy Shinolt and Pastor Greg Pratt. Interment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery in Peru.
