Serena Marie Beverly Butscher 1999-2025
Loyal, passionate, artistic, brave, strong, beautiful. Serena Marie Beverly Butscher, 26, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, passed away on October 12, 2025.
She was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina, on June 29, 1999, to Joshua and Amber Goodman. Serena was a fighter from the beginning of her life and was always getting into some kind of mischief. As a child, she loved to travel with her family and especially enjoyed camping and surfing. She attended Renaissance Classical Christian Academy and after graduating married Alexander Butscher and lived in Fayetteville. Serena was forever adopting cats and sneaking them into the house. Everyone who knew Serena knew how much she loved drawing and creating beautiful works of art. If you met her you could never forget it. She will always be remembered for her fierce loyalty to her family.
Serena was preceded in death by her husband, Alex, her grandmother, Beverly Goodman, and her grandfathers, Emory Goodman and Darrell Hardy. She leaves behind her mother and father, Joshua and Amber Goodman, three sisters, Rebecca House (Justin), Taylor and Emari-Melina Goodman, two brothers, Anthony (Emily) and Zion Goodman, her much loved nieces and nephew, Macy, Wade and Emma House, grandmothers, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, two beloved cats, Slim and Shady and a wide variety of friends.
Family will gather for a private memorial service and extends their gratitude for all who have reached out with love and condolences.
