Serena, the memories of your warmth and cheer, love and faith, joy and friendship will only help fill the hole you left in our world. I´m so grateful to have known you and for our decades of friendship, during which I witnessed many times your unusually fierce bravery, sense of duty, and profound goodness through and through - all fueled by the faith that has always shone from you. I will love you the rest of my days. The way you faced illness and death was beautiful and inspiring, as you have always been. Your memory will light the path. Surely God has welcomed home one of His most beautiful works.

One of the last things I heard Serena say was "Thank You for the time Lord...".
I too am so grateful to the Lord for the past several years that I was able to get closer to my big sister than ever before (as well as my little sister, thanks Deanna for all you did and are doing).
I remember so many years ago when the Lord saved me out of a great darkness, Serena sent me some tapes of a few Christian rock bands. That was such a blessing to me that lasted even until today. I tried to return the blessing to her, but don't know if I got it to her soon enough for her to listen to (the Lord knows), but hopefully these songs (not rock songs) will be a blessing to you as well.

Renie´s was a loving heart. Although we were separated by distance and circumstance, our mutual affection never wavered.
