Sergio Danilo Marroquín Tomás

Sergio Danilo Marroquín Tomás, 42, of New Haven, CT died unexpectedly in New Haven on Thursday, January 15, 2026. Sergio was born in Huehuetenango, Cuilco, Guatemala a son of Carmelino Marroquín González and Nery Felipa Tomás Díaz of La Libertad Peten, Guatemala, and came to the United States in November of 2004. He had resided in New Haven for the past twenty one years. He was a tire mechanic at Super Tire and Auto Service of West Haven for the past year, and had previously worked at auto service centers in the New Haven area.

Sergio was a very fun, playful person. He liked to sing and listen to his ranchera music. He was a humble and respectful young man, and always dedicated himself to his work. He enjoyed gardening, mechanics, and most of his life he was an automotive workshop worker. His loss will be greatly felt by his family who loved him dearly as well as by his extended family and friends.

Sergio's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, February 14th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven. Sergio Danilo Marroquín Tomás, 42, de New Haven, CT, falleció inesperdamente en New Haven el jueves, 15 de enero de 2026. Sergio nació en Huehuetenango Cuilco, Guatemala, el 20 de febrero de 1983, hijo de Carmelino Marroquín González y Nery Felipa Tomás Díaz de La Libertad Peten, Guatemala, y llegó a los Estados Unidos en noviembre de 2004. Residió en new Haven durnte los últimos veintiún años. Fue mecánico de llantas en Super Tire and Auto Service de West Haven durante el último año, y anterioramente trabajó en otros centros de servicio automotoriz en el área de New Haven.

Sergio era una persona muy divertida y bromista. Le gustaba cantar y escuchar su música ranchera. Era un muchacho humilde y respetuoso. Siempre Sergio se dedicaba a su trabajo. Le gustaba la jardinería, mécanica y la moyoría de su vida era tallerista automotriz. Su pérdida será muy sentida por su familia, que lo amaba profundamente, así como por su familia extensa y amigos.

La familia de Sergio recibirá a familiares y amigos el sábado 14 de febrero de 6:00 a 8:00 p.m. en la Funeraria Washington Memorial, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven, CT.
