Seth Thomas Gordon (1981-2026)

After a life committed to music, fatherhood, and the joy of playing a fantastic game with friends, Seth Thomas Gordon, 44, of Las Vegas died after a battle with adrenal cancer on February 4, 2026.

Seth was born in Salisbury, NC in 1981 to Ann Barringer and Paul Gordon. Seth grew up in North Carolina, Utah, Nevada, and Nebraska. He discovered a true passion for music when he learned to play the violin in middle school. Seth was exceptionally musically talented, and found immense joy in playing the violin, guitar, mandolin, banjo, and drums. He graduated from Green Valley High School in Henderson, NV in 1999. Seth was devoted to public service, and spent most of his adult life working diligently as an office specialist for the Clark County District Attorney's Office.

Seth met his beloved wife, Jovita Brambilla Gordon in 2012, while attending an employee training event. They were an instant match. Seth and Jovita were married in 2014 in Las Vegas. They had two sons, Ernest and Felix. Seth thrived as a father, and enjoyed building Legos and magnet-tile structures and reading silly bedtime stories.

In his free time, Seth enjoyed the camaraderie of friends while playing tabletop games. He loved to tell vivid stories through his inventive fantasy game mechanics that were approachable for the average person with the goal of inviting everyone to a whole new magical universe full of compelling characters, mythical creatures and dynamic places. His creativity and artistry drove his pursuits.

Seth had a tenderness of heart for animals, particularly reptiles and birds. Seth had several budgies that were utterly devoted to him.

Seth was preceded in death by his son, Ernest Gordon, and his father, Paul Gordon. Seth is survived by his wife, Jovita Gordon; son, Felix Gordon; mother, Ann Barringer; step-mother, Joline Gordon; siblings David Gordon, Ashley Gordon Hanks, and Jacob Gordon; step-siblings, Leon Castro, Jason Castro, and Aaron Castro; nieces and nephews Katelyn Hanks Bellows, Matthew Hanks, Caleb Gordon, Spencer Gordon, Emma Gordon, Penn Hanks, Anna Jane Gordon, Harlow Hanks, and Henry Gordon; as well as numerous extended family members.

Funeral services honoring Seth's life and legacy will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the LDS chapel at 2091 Wigwam Parkway, Henderson, NV 89074. The viewing will be held at 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. Burial will be at 2:00 PM at Bunker Memory Garden at 7251 W Lone Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89129.
