In Loving Memory of Sethe Robert Menta
Sethe Robert Menta, 22, of Lisle, NY, went to be with our Father-God on Thursday, March 6th, 2025.
Sethe was a beloved son, brother, grandson, and friend. Known for his unwavering dedication to his family, friends, fire department, work, and love of the outdoors, he made a lasting impact on everyone he met.
A graduate of Whitney Point Central School District in 2022, Sethe was part of both the football and lacrosse teams for many years and was a Captain for both his senior year. His leadership extended beyond the field, as he also served as the Captain of the Killawog Fire Department, where he had been a dedicated member for several years. He recently earned his CDL and worked as a heavy machinery operator for the town of Barker. Sethe spent his high school years working at Holbrooks Precast in Killawog.
Sethe was a man who kept his own counsel and moved through life under his own steam. His journey was uniquely his own, driven by his deep curiosity and adventurous spirit. He had recently returned from exploring parts of the country, expanding his horizons and grabbing new experiences. Always looking to grow and discover more, Sethe had already started planning his next adventure, looking to continue expanding his reach and love for the world around him.
Anyone who knew Sethe would tell you he was the kind of person who never passed by without saying hello. His spirit, kindness, and dedication to those around him made him an inspiration to all. Whether hunting, fishing, riding his snowmobile or four-wheeler, building Legos, or simply hanging out with friends, Sethe lived life to the fullest and with a heart full of love. His presence brightened every room, and his genuine care for others was always evident.
Sethe's untimely departure has left a void in the hearts of his family, friends, and the entire community. He was truly a gift to us all; his memory will live on in the many lives he touched. The love and joy he brought into the world will continue to resonate, and we will forever carry him with us in our hearts.
Sethe leaves behind his father, Stephen T. Menta; his mother, Amber N. Menta; his sister, Leah Menta; and his brothers, Caleb and Josiah Menta. He is also survived by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and countless friends. Sethe is predeceased by his grandmother, Debra J. Menta.
Sethe's legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will never be forgotten. His light, his laughter, and his love will continue to guide us, and we are eternally grateful for the time we had with him. He was truly our ultimate gift.
