Seva Aldene Jeter, born on September 10, 1938, in Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on May 26, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, whose presence will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Seva dedicated 26 years of her life to Emerson Electric, where she contributed her talents within the Switches Department. The company provided her with the opportunity to obtain her GED, an achievement of which she was immensely proud.
A true community member, Seva found great joy in participating in the Senior Bees, where she formed cherished relationships and relished in the happiness of playing beanbag baseball. Seva's team secured a state championship, an accomplishment that reflected her spirit of camaraderie and competition. Beyond her athletic pursuits, she loved to travel and explore, enriching her life with new experiences.
Her faith was a cornerstone of her life; she was a dedicated member of the 3rd Avenue Baptist Church in Paragould, where she actively engaged with her church community.
Seva is survived by her three loving children: daughter, Belinda (Dennis) Strope, daughter, Bonita (Daniel) Robertson, and son, Earl (Tammy Glave) Jeter. She is also survived by her cherished sisters: Claudine Abbott, Christine Allison, and Marie Self; four grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Seva was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Jeter; father, Amos Morris; mother, Juanita Guffey; sister, Charlene Peel; brother, Wayne Seats; and two infant twin brothers.
Funeral services for Seva Aldene Jeter will be held at Heath Funeral Home on Friday, May 30, 2025. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM. The funeral service will commence at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Tommy Gerrish officiating. Burial will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens.
Seva's legacy of love, dedication, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life. She will be remembered fondly for her vivacity, her love of family and faith, and her unwavering spirit.
