Sexon Ward Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bacarella Funeral Home, Inc. on Dec. 4, 2025.
Sexton Terrell Jeremy Ward passed away, Wednesday, November 19, 2025. He was born to Jennifer Ward (Goins) and Shannon Ward on June 14, 2000, in Monroe, MI. He dedicated his life to his rap music, dirt biking, and the things that allowed him to express himself and feel free. He also immersed himself into his welding program and proudly studied business management with hopes of building a stable and successful future.

Sexton is preceded in death by his grandmother Nancy Goins, grandfather Gillis Goins Sr., great-grandmother Gloria Burchett, and his uncle Gillis Goins.

He is survived by his mother Jennifer Ward, father Shannon Ward, his aunt and uncle Linda and Gilbert Micheles, his aunts Jessica Goins and Kelee Williams, his girlfriend Malina Rogoff, and his unborn child who he was excited to welcome into the world.

Sexton was a very loving and nurturing provider. He was a problem solver and faced every obstacle in his life with grit, humor, and determination. No matter how heavy a situation was, he chose to look at his battles with a cup half full. Sexton had a gift for lifting people up. He was a positive and uplifting soul, a natural hype-man, and someone who treated everyone with the utmost respect whether he knew them or not.

He was a deeply giving person who poured into others with no expectation of anything in return. He lived by example and inspired people simply by the way he carried himself. Sexton believed in hard work and often said, "Don't buy it once if you can't buy it twice."

Sexton had a unique sense of style and took pride in his appearance. He loved fashion, clothes, shoes, and jewelry, and enjoyed expressing his creativity through the way he dressed. He enjoyed being around his friends and family, laughing, making memories, and showing love in his own genuine and unfiltered way.

Those who knew Sexton will remember his infectious smile, his playful personality, his loyalty, and the way he made even ordinary days feel special. He left a lasting mark on everyone blessed enough to know him, and his legacy lives on through the people he touched and the child he leaves behind.
