SFC Douglas "Red" Kirby, ARMY (Ret), age 71, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on August 23, 2023. He was born on March 19, 1952 in Mount Clemens, MI, to Donald Kirby and Dolores Galloway who preceded him in death.
Red was retired from the United States Army. He was a former Scout Master of Troop 546, and Boy Scout leader of Troop 289. He was a member of Calvary Chapel Church, the American Legion, and the Northeast Alabama Cherokee Tribe. Red enjoyed bee-keeping, camping, playing harmonica, and taking care of his chickens.
He is survived by his loving wife, Chrisie Moore; children: Darrell (Robbie) Kirby, Jennifer (Jimmy) Overfield; step-children: Daniel (Ashley) Jenkins, Grace (Dallas) Welsh, Stephanie (Austin) Clopeck, and Virginia "Gini" Swain; grandchild, Ella Cheyenne Parsons; and additional step-grandchildren.
