Shacyria Fai "Shaq" Edmo, 32, of Ethete Wyoming made her journey on October 13th, 2025, at Sage West Hosptial in Lander Wyoming, after giving birth to a beautiful baby boy Henry Troy Edmo.

Rosary services will be held on Sunday October 19th in Ethete at Blue sky Hall 7pm, with a wake to follow at the family residence 610 Ethete Road. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20th at Blue Sky Hall at 10 am. We will lay her to rest at the Whiteman Family cemetery in Ethete; a feast will follow at Blue Sky.

Shacyria was born on September 07,1993 to Sharalyn F. Whiteman and Sheldon Edmo in Fremont County, Lander, Wyoming.

She was a proud member of the Northern Arapaho Tribe. She resided on the Wind River Reservation for the majority of her life and also had adventures in Idaho and Colorado.

Shaq was a very loving, caring, and outgoing person. She loved to tease and was always smiling and laughing around. Her smile was very contagious, and she lit up the room wherever she went. She enjoyed cruising around, baking, gardening, crafting, listening to music, hanging out with her girlfriend Char, her dog Sophia, and her friends. She loved her family, especially all her nieces and nephews and always wanted to be a mom. Shaq fulfilled her dream and gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Henry Troy Edmo who was 8lbs 10oz 22 ½ inches long born in Lander Wyoming to Shacyria Fai Edmo and Taryn Charmayne Jim @ 8:23pm on October 13th, 2025. Baby Henry and his mommy Shaq are loved very much and will be missed immensely. Shaq always lived life to the fullest, and she lived it her own way and on her own time.

Shacyria attended several schools during her educational journey, including Wyoming Indian School and Shoban High School. She graduated as part of the St. Stephens High School Class of 2012.

Shaq had a deep love for basketball, and her talent and dedication shone brightly during her senior year at St. Stephens. That year, she and her teammates, the Lady Eagles, accomplished a remarkable goal by earning a spot in the 1A/2A State Basketball Championships. Their determination paid off when they fought hard and brought home the consolation trophy for the Girls 1A State Basketball tournament, making history for their school.

Shaq worked as a Transportation driver for Wind River Cares. She loved her job and would go above and beyond to help her patients. She also worked for Shoshone and Arapaho early headstart, was a housekeeper for Wind River hotel and casino and was a security supervisor for community events and doings.

Shacyria is survived by her girlfriend Taryn Charmayne Jim, her dog Sophia, her mother Sharalyn "Cissy" Whiteman.
