Shane Dusci Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center - Kimball Township on Mar. 20, 2026.
Shane Robert Dusci, a cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Born on March 25, 1987, in Port Huron, Michigan, Shane was the beloved son of Robert James Jr. and Karen Ann Dusci.

Shane is survived by his parents, Robert James Jr. and Karen Ann Dusci; his brothers, Eric (Pam) Dusci of Clyde Township and Ryan (Rebecca) Dusci of Wales Township; nephews and nieces, Lucas, Isabella, Daniella, Greysen, and Hayden; uncles and aunts, Lenny (Yvonne) Tomaszewski, Cindy Tomaszewski, Laura (Benny) Beachy, Dan Tomaszewski, and Debra (Dan) Hischke; as well as many cousins and dear friends who will cherish their memories of him.

A man of service, Shane dedicated himself to the safety of others as a firefighter with the Kimball Township Fire Department. His courage and commitment to his work were not just professional obligations but a true calling. Shane's interests reflected his love for life and his hands-on approach to the world around him. He had a passion for animals and that showed his gentle heart. He had a knack for working on small projects and working on his truck. Shane's curiosity and skills were evident in the projects he undertook and completed with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

As we bid farewell to Shane Robert Dusci, we also celebrate the life he led and the impact he had. While his absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, the memories of his laughter, kindness, and bravery will continue to inspire and comfort all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Blue Water Free Methodist Church, 1963 Allen Rd. Kimball, MI 48074. Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. and services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Pastors Michael Alexander and Jeremy Thornton will co-officiate. A luncheon will follow. A funeral procession led by the Kimball Township Fire Department will leave Grace Memorial, 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball, MI 48074, at 11:00 a.m. If you would like to join in the procession please arrive at Grace Memorial at 10:30.

Pallbearers will be Ross Lepine, Ryan Dusci, Jack Mazure, Carl Stosik, Fire Chief Edmund Gratz, and Edward Amyot. Eric and Lucas Dusci will be honorary pallbearers.

I haven't seen Shane in probably 20 years, but I remember him being a great guy. It sounds like that didn't change. I'm so sorry for everyone's loss.
