Ronald Corby Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center - Kimball Township on Feb. 27, 2026.
Ronald Roy Corby, age 68, of North Street, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on February 25, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 25, 1958, Ronald was the cherished son of the late Robert Judson and Helen Phyllis Corby. His life was a testament to the values of hard work, family, and the joys of simple pleasures.

Ronald's journey through life was shared with his devoted wife, Denise Corby, whom he married on June 7, 1986. Their partnership was a beacon of love and support, and together they raised a family that was the center of Ronald's world. He was a proud father to his children, Brandon Corby of Billings, Montana, and Korene (Joshua) Erickson of Chesapeake, Virginia. His grandchildren, Kennedy and Carter, were his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

In addition to his immediate family, Ronald is survived by his sister, Sherry (Charlie) McCallum; sisters-in-law, Bonny (Bryan) Wolff, Christine Corby, and Judith Corby; as well as many loving nieces and nephews. His faithful dogs, Katy, Bella, and Maria were constant companions and brought him much comfort and joy. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Corby, and his brothers, John and Don Corby.

Ronald's professional life was marked by over 40 years of dedicated service with the Operating Engineers Union Local #324. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to own and operate his own businesses, R&B Equipment and Kennedy's Mobility Karts. Ronald's work ethic and business acumen were admired by all who knew him. Ronald enjoyed being a member of the Eagles Lodge #3702 and the Moose Lodge #158.

Away from work, Ronald had a passion for traveling in his motorhome, attending car shows, and indulging in his love for classic cars. His recent restoration project, a 1970 Cuda, was a source of great pride and joy. In his younger years, Ronald enjoyed canoeing and going up north. His ability to fix anything was legendary among family and friends.

Ronald's life was one of purpose and passion. He found happiness in the simple things and imparted that joy to those around him. His memory will be cherished, and his legacy will continue to live on through the lives of those he touched. Ronald Roy Corby will be deeply missed, but his spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family.

A gathering and viewing will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial Life Celebration Center, 4521 Ravenswood Road, Kimball, MI 48074. Funeral services will be Monday, March 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Lakeside Cemetery in Port Huron. Pallbearers will be Donnie Corby, Dustin Corby, Garrett Wolff, Justin Corby, Tucker Corby, and Jonathan Borowski. A luncheon will be served at the Eagles Lodge #3702, 2645 Howard St., Port Huron, Michigan.
