Shane Lyons, age 53, of Dover, Tennessee, passed away on January 11, 2026. He was born on June 26, 1972, in Murray, Kentucky, the beloved son of Leamon Lyons and Judy Melton Lyons.
Shane was a hardworking and dedicated professional commercial fisherman, spending countless hours on the water perfecting his craft. He often faced challenging conditions and possessed the skill, knowledge, and determination needed to navigate them. His office was on the water, and he truly loved his job and sharing his "fishing stories' with anyone who would listen.
Shane grew up in the family-owned gas station, known as "The Station". He could often be found in the parking lot playing basketball, at the Spring Grill Pool, the creek, the cave, or at memaw's with his friends.
He enjoyed hunting, watching pro sports, especially the NFL, and was always up for a trip to a casino. Of the many vacation adventures he shared with his wife, Vegas was his favorite.
Shane was preceded in death by his father, Leamon Lyons, and his brother-in-law, Johnny Cunningham.
On June 12, 1999, Shane married the love of his life, Jill Cunningham Lyons, and together they shared more than 26 years of marriage. He is survived by his devoted wife, Jill Lyons; his cherished mother, Judy Lyons; his nephew, Kamaren Cunningham; his nieces, Kallee and Kyndal Cunningham; his sister-in-law, Abby Bumpus Cunningham; his mother-and father-in-law, Jerry and Janie Cunningham; and his beloved fur baby, Tater Tot.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Anglin Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Honorary pallbearers are Tony Melton, Thomas Grasty, Anthony Cherry, David Norville, Greg Henson, Bryan Norfleet, and Kamaren Cunningham.
