Life Journey of Shane Money
Shane Money, 55, of Woolwich Twp, NJ, passed away November 22, 2025, at Inspira Hospital, Vineland NJ. He was born on January 27, 1970, in Woolwich Twp NJ to Lewis Money Sr. and Brenda Jiles Money. Shane grew up attending Walter Hill School and graduated from Kingsway High School in 1988. He also graduated from Pennco Tech. He worked in the HVAC field and Bricklaying field for many years, holding a variety of different positions and taking pride in his workmanship.
A devoted member of Mt. Zion AME Church in Swedesboro, NJ, Shane was known for the time and care he gave to church restoration projects. He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed many hobbies: riding his motorcycle (often with Tony, Boo, and Terry), cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers, working outdoors, weekly trips to Cowtown, playing pool, annual motorcycle rides to Myrtle Beach, and grilling for anyone who stopped by. Many friends had him grilling for them.
Shane dedicated his life to his immediate and extended family. He touched so many lives with his kind heart. He was always willing to help anyone at any time, even when he wasn't feeling well. Always wearing a smile, he enjoyed life and never complained. He always said, “I got this” and that there should have been two of him. He was a wonderful father, brother, and friend to many.
Shane was preceded in death by his father, Lewis Money Sr.; sister, Alycia Walton; brother, Lewis Money Jr.; son, Brandon Ellison; and his grandparents.
He is survived by his mother, Brenda Jiles Money; his wife, Shanda Money; brothers Brandon Money, Bryce Money, and Jeff Money(Marlo) sister Gwendolyn Williams (Eric); daughters Shanel Scott (Wayne), Shayna Money, and Shaylyn Money(Masaki); grandchildren Wayne Scott III, Nyhla West, Elizabeth Scott, Levi Money West, Zayn Money, Reign Minter, and Summer Minter; special companion Carol Holsey; close friends Terry, Tony, Donna, Pedro, LouBarb, and Wayne; very close cousins Mike and Booboo ; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Shane will be remembered for his generous spirit, his love for his family, and the warmth he brought to every gathering.
