Shane Osterkamp

The funeral service for Shane S. Osterkamp, 44, of Springfield, SD and formerly Gettysburg, SD will be 10:00am on Tuesday, November 25th at North Highland United Methodist Church in Aberdeen, SD with Pastor Andrea Johnson officiating. Shane died Friday, November 14, 2025.
Over the years, Shane held a variety of jobs throughout the region, He loved moving around and enjoying life. He spent time in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, working at Wire Tech before returning to South Dakota. He later lived in Agar, where he worked for Martin Osterkamp at Midland Garage Doors; in Blunt, where he was employed by CHS and served as a volunteer firefighter; and in Harrold, where he worked at Puris.
Shane found happiness outdoors. He especially loved fishing and camping, and he could often be found tinkering with cars.
Grateful for having shared Shane's life are his father, Royal (Janet) Osterkamp; stepfather, John Crain, sisters, Heather (Dave) Fischer and LaCrista Ackerman (Gary Namanny); brother, Ryan Osterkamp; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Shane in death is his mother, Elette Crain; nephew, Walter Osterkamp; Grandpa and Grandma Osterkamp and Grandpa and Grandma McMullen.
