Shane Smith Obituary
Shane Bruce Smith was born October 29, 1981, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Patricia Lou Cooper and Bruce Mackay Smith. Shane had 4 amazing children Britney (Jose Gomez) Riley, Ethan, Colton, and a granddaughter Rose. He also had a dog, and best friend, Nash.
Shane worked his whole life to take care of his kids. They were his pride and joy and everyone who knew him, knew that about him. Shane was a family man, he loved his family. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and traveling. Which included a recent trip to Rome with his sweetheart Lydia. His sudden passing on November 22, 2024, took us by surprise.
Shane is survived by his father Bruce Smith, his step-mom Carol Smith, step-brother Jayson Collins, step-sister Carie Collins, Amber (Drew Hardrath), Andrea (Jonathan Jensen), Angela (Josh Blackstone), sister Jessica Cioffi, grandpa Bednar, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother Patricia Lou Cooper, step-dad Donald Wood, brother Jeremy Wood, step-brother Ryan collins, grandmother Bednar, Mary Smith, Kendal Smith, and Joan Wood. Dad we will miss you and forever remember you, you'll live on through us kids and grandkids.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at McDougal Funeral Homes, 4330 S. Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah with a Memorial Service following at 11:30 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 4252 S Bennion Road, Taylorsville Utah.
